The Aimpoint Micro H-1 sight is a red dot sight that weighs 3.7 ounces and is designed for both military, law enforcement, and civilian applications.

This versatile mini sight packs the powerful accuracy of a larger sights in a smaller, less cumbersome, and more adaptable package.  It works as a great replacement for iron sights without adding too much bulk to the weapon.

With a 20mm objective lens and only 2.4 inches in length is has one of the smallest profiles of any dot sight we’ve review.

The Micro H-1 can be attached to many types of firearms and hunting equipment to include: bows, rifles, and hunting revolvers, thanks to Aimpoint’s ingeniously designed Picatinny/Weaver mount.

Most usefully, the integrated mount can also be effortlessly piggybacked onto larger scopes for increased functionality. Priced at around 600$, this is the lightest sight in its price-range.

Espousing many features useful to shooters, the most notable feature is arguably the 12 daytime and low light vision settings. The ability to use this sight in low light and at night, thanks to an internal LED lamp, offers the shooter zero limits on when he can operate.

Moreover, new ACET battery power saving technology allows the shooter to get 50,000 hours, or five years, of use out of one battery; this makes for an energy efficient sight.

Additionally, The Micro H-1 lets out no harmful laser emissions or distracting laser flares which can temporarily blind the shooter just as he is taking aim.

Finally, the reticle, which makes this sight so desirable, is adjustable via a manual rotary switch. This allows the Micro H-1 more versatility because the shooter can opt not to use the red dot function.

The design of Aimpoint’s Micro H-1 is stunning. A high strength extruded aluminum housing with a matte black finish makes up the casing.

The sight withstands a Fahrenheit temperature range of -20 to 140 degrees. This implies that no matter where or when the hunter is hunting, the Micro H-1 will still be able to get its job done.

The Micro H-1 is also fully waterproof without an additional case; it is fully submersible up to 15 feet under water. This is helpful for those shooting near water, and for cleaning purposes.

While many sights use Allen screws to adjust the zeroing system, the Aimpoint Micro H-1 has adjustment screws covered by durable plastic caps designed to make aiming frustration-free. The plastic caps work like a turn-key mechanism that prevents the adjustment screws from being helplessly stripped.

For its quality and build it is way beyond the budget red dots which may look the same but do not perform the same.  A big difference is that Aimpoint uses ground optical glass as opposed to cast glass or plastic in its optics.

Aimpoint sights provide a lot of utility and can even be compared to some of the better known high end sights.
